Make Your Bed

Make Your Bed

Here’s a simple, and powerful strategy that when employed, will help you to not only get the most out of your day, but to also enjoy a better night’s sleep.

MAKE YOUR BED

The benefits of making your bed include:

  1. Feeling accomplished first thing in the day.  If you do nothing else, at least you made your bed.

  2. Having a room that feels more relaxed and put-together.

  3. Neatness tends to spread.  If you make your bed, you’ll likely feel the urge to do some other small tidying too.

  4. Climbing into a made bed will help you feel relaxed and ease your transition to sleep.

If you forget or don’t have a chance to make your bed right after waking, don’t worry.  There’s never a bad time to make your bed.  I’ve been known to make the bed in the late afternoon or evening, just to make the room feels better before bedtime.

Do you make your bed regularly?  Is this something you’ve always done or did you pick up the habit as an adult?

If you don’t make your bed, give it a try!
